The Age of
Steam Railroad Museum
Dallas, TX |
 |
Visitors to the
Age of Steam Railroad Museum in Fair Park get a great opportunity to go
back in time to the days when "riding the rails" was the most
popular way of travel. Before jet planes and huge airports, the
railroad was king. And the collection of trains at the Age of Steam
Museum stand regally as a reminder of those days gone by. Inside the
restored depot (moved here from downtown Dallas) are pictures and exhibits
about the history and evolution of the railroads in North Texas. |
| Throughout the
year the Age of Steam museum offers programs and events such as the
"Dinner in a Diner," Family Fun Days," and "Whistle
Fair." These unique events help to educate today's generation
of kids, most of whom have never seen a train in person. |
