Big Bend is big. Really big. This national park, located along the Rio Grande river, has just about anything an outdoor enthusiast would want to do - and lot's of it. Numerous hiking trails, great primitive and developed camping, the Rio Grande River, and much more. It would take several trips to take in the whole park. |
| In addition to those features the park has great educational aspects. From it's fascinating geology to it's great wildlife. Big Bend offers exhibits and Ranger led tours to give visitors a better understanding of this complex ecosystem. From the desert to the mountains to the river, this park has what you're looking for. |

backpacking hikes. 8 self guided trails w/ signs & pamphlets to explain the wonders of the surroundings. Enough hiking (with great views) to get you busy for many trips. |
