Cameron Park Zoo
Waco, TX

The Cameron Park Zoo is a little different from other zoos since it is located right in the middle of the lush Cameron Park.  The zoo's spacious exhibits set it apart from other zoos by creating mini-environments that include several animals instead of just one.  Clearly lots of care and effort have been put into the construction of these habitats and it shows with the animal's demeanor.  The  zoo's Herpetarium even has exhibit spaces that are much larger than those in the average reptile house.  The lush green grass and wooded walkways add to a very peaceful and relaxing zoo experience.  A definite must-see when in Waco.
