Located in Dallas' Fair Park, the Dallas Museum of Natural History is one of the most impressive natural history collections in the region.  The Museum's permanent exhibits include: a Paleontology Lab, where fossil are examined and prepared for display, several Wildlife Dioramas that recreate animals in their natural habitats, and a Lagoon Nature Walk outside.
Another permanent exhibit is "Prehistoric Texas" which contains fossils from various Texas regions.  The museum often delves into the prehistory of the state and has frequent exhibits that explore the origins of the area including the recent "Life and Death in Big Bend."

Hours: Monday through Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday 12:00 noon to 5:00 p.m.  Closed only on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day & New Years Day.
Fees: Admission is $7.00 for adults, $6.00 for senior citizens (55 & older), $5.00 for students (13-18), $4.00 for children (3-12) and free for children under 3 years of age.
