The State
Fair of Texas
Dallas, TX |
|
One
of the oldest and most revered Texas traditions is the State Fair of
Texas. Since 1886 people have come in droves to see exhibits, ride
rides, play games and fill up on corny dogs and cotton candy. The
State Fair of Texas provides something for everyone. Highlights
include: the Texas-OU Game, the Auto Show, Free Concerts,
a nightly parade, and
much, much more! |
|
One of the most famous parts of the State Fair is
Big Tex himself: a 52 foot tall talking and waving goodwill ambassador to
all who visit the fair. This year's
State Fair Theme is "Good Food, Great Fun." Expect to see the
"Taste & See Pavilion," an Elvis exhibit, the musical
"Wicked" and more! |
