best ways to beat the summer heat is with a big bowl of homemade ice
cream. Even though it's a Texas tradition and a summer survival
necessity, homemade ice cream has become scarce in most areas.
However, in McKinney they celebrate the creamy confection every August
during the Killis Melton Ice Cream Crank-Off. As the story goes,
originally the people of McKinney had a chili cook-off. |
