"RockHounds: The Movie" is an independent, feature length documentary film from director Todd Kent and produced by Explorer Multimedia Inc., a non-profit 501 (c)(3) corporation. The film showcases some of the wackiness, the adventure and a little of the science behind the hobby of gem & mineral collecting. Q2. When/where can I see it? A2. This is an independent film project and currently does not have a distribution deal. We hope to secure distribution in the near future. In addition, the film will tour the film festival circuit and we hope to distribute the film to any interested gem & mineral organizations for exhibition at their gem & mineral shows. Segments within the documentary include digging for crystals at the World Championship Quartz Crystal Dig in Mount Ida, Arkansas, hunting for fossils with "Dinosaur George" Blasing, an appearance of the amazing Rock Food Table at the Houston Gem & Mineral Show, the barite rose rocks of Oklahoma and more!
