RockHounds: The TV Series??

The long term goal of this project is a weekly RockHounds TV Series on one of the national "outdoor themed" cable channels.

The format of the episodes would be slightly different from the film.  Each week geologist Devin Dennie will go to a different location to search fora particular thing (for example, one week might be petrified wood, the next week might be ammonites, the next might be quartz, etc.).  

Devin will meet and dig alongside members from local area gem & mineral clubs.  By the end of the episode we'll go back to the "project workshop" and make something out of what was found (jewelry, decorative items or just polish up samples for display)!

We Are Actively Seeking Sponsors!

The show will be a weekly showcase for:

• Travel & Outdoor Activity (hiking, camping, climbing, etc.)

• Digging & Rock hounding techniques (activities involving hammers, picks, shovels, panning for gold and outdoor orientation utilizing maps, compasses, GPS units, etc.)

• Finishing Techniques & Lapidary Arts (polishing, tumbling, jewelry making, etc.)
